Situated in the Wye Valley and within the AONB our single authentic Mongolian Yurt is totally private with far reaching views of fields and wooded valleys.
Bridget & Tim purchased the yurt or ger while travelling in Mongolia and fell in love with the magical atmosphere. It is furnished with its original painted furniture, has a wood burner and is very cosy with its thick lining of yak and sheep's wool. Rugs and hangings add to its charm.
It can sleep up to 4 people. There is a kingsize bed and a decorated Mongolian sofa bed with two mattresses. The kitchen, shower and loo are nearby in a rustic building. There is a brazier for outdoor cooking. Firewood from the apple orchard is provided.
The kitchen has a microwave, a 2 ring gas hob and small fridge plus all crockery and cooking essentials.
The yurt sits on a wooden raised platform in its own fenced wildflower meadow. Our smallholding is managed to enhance its wildlife interest and is noteworthy for the range of butterflies it supports. The hedgerows are a superb small bird habitat. There are many local walks and other things to do nearby which you can find listed under "Activities". Bridget's internationally acclaimed pottery business also runs from the smallholding. Enjoy sipping tea from her exquisite hand thrown porcelain while gazing out on an outstanding view of the Wye Vallley.
Enjoy a holiday where you can relax & slow down.
Linen and towels are provided, Please bring sleeping bags for children.
Well behaved dogs are allowed in the fenced area of the yurt. However dog owners should be aware that there may be sheep and cattle on the holding so dogs must be well controlled.
